Two Branas Isaf Homes Achieve ‘Excellent’ Ratings Across All Areas in Care Inspectorate Wales Inspections

Branas Isaf is delighted to share that two of its residential children’s homes have received the highest possible ratings across all four inspection areas following recent visits from Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

The homes, located in Ruthin and Bala, were each awarded ‘Excellent’ ratings for:

  • Well-being
  • Care and Support
  • Environment
  • Leadership and Management

The outstanding results recognise the exceptional care, support and therapeutic environments provided by the dedicated teams at both homes, and reflect Branas Isaf’s commitment to helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes.

For more than 30 years, Branas Isaf has provided specialist care, therapy and education for children and young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. The latest CIW reports highlight the strength of the organisation’s integrated approach, recognising the high standards of care delivered by its multidisciplinary teams of care professionals, therapists and educators.

Inspectors praised the nurturing and supportive environments created within both homes, recognising the personalised care that enables children and young people to feel safe, valued and supported to make meaningful progress.

Kate Jones, Director of Service and Responsible Individual at Branas Isaf, said:

“We are incredibly proud that both our Ruthin and Bala homes have achieved ‘Excellent’ ratings across every inspection area. This is a wonderful recognition of the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by our teams every single day.

“These inspections reflect the commitment of everyone involved in creating safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments where children and young people can flourish. We are also pleased that this achievement follows the positive feedback received during our most recent Estyn inspection of Branas Isaf School, highlighting the strength of our integrated approach across care, education and therapy.

“Most importantly, these outcomes demonstrate the positive experiences and opportunities our young people receive, and we remain committed to providing the highest quality support to help them build brighter futures.”

Receiving ‘Excellent’ ratings across all four inspection themes at two separate homes is a significant achievement and reflects Branas Isaf’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality therapeutic care across its services.

We would like to thank every member of our care, education and therapeutic teams for their continued dedication, and congratulate everyone involved in achieving this fantastic result.
